What is Tipify?

Tipify is a direct support platform where music fans can tip their favorite artists. This helps artists earn more from their music while deepening artist-fan connections.

How does Tipify work?

Fans log in, discover their most-listened-to artists, and send direct tips. Artists keep 90% of each tip, with Tipify taking a small platform fee to keep the ecosystem running. Fans can also explore rising talent and track their support over time.

Why should I use Tipify instead of just streaming more of an artist’s music?

Streaming revenue is minimal—thousands of plays often equal just a few dollars. With Tipify, 90% of every dollar you tip goes straight to the artist, making a real impact. Your support helps them keep creating.

Is Tipify like Patreon or Kickstarter?

Not quite! Unlike Patreon, which requires artists to create ongoing content, or Kickstarter, which funds specific projects, Tipify makes it easy for fans to show direct appreciation without strings attached.

How do I find artists to support?

Tipify syncs with your Spotify listening history so you can tip the artists you already love. You can also explore emerging talent, search by genre, or invite artists to join.


Can I tip any artist?

Yes! If an artist isn’t on Tipify yet, you can pledge a tip, and we’ll notify them. This will help more artists get the support they deserve.


How much should I tip?

At Tipify, we want every dollar you give to make a real impact for the artists you love. That’s why we want to share a quick tip about tipping:

Each transaction comes with a small financial Stripe processing fee (about 30 cents per transaction, plus a small percentage). That fee stays the same whether you tip $1 or $10 — so tips over $5 make sure more of your support goes directly to the artist, not the payment processor.

If you’re able to give a bit more, it helps your favorite independent artists keep more of your generosity — and less goes to Stripe.

Where does my money go?

90% of your tip goes straight to the artist. Tipify takes a 5% platform fee, and Stripe processes transactions securely with a small fee.


Is my payment information secure?

Yes! All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a leading third-party payment provider.

How do I sign up as an artist?

It’s easy! Sign up,  link  your Spotify account verify through Instagram, and start receiving tips from fans who love your music.


How do I receive my tips?

Artists can withdraw funds anytime via Stripe, ensuring fast, direct access to their earnings.


Is there a cost to join Tipify?

No! Artists can sign up for free. A 5% platform fee applies only when you receive tips, keeping Tipify accessible to all.


How does Tipify help increase my visibility?

Tipify highlights top-tipped artists, genre trends, and fan engagement data—giving emerging artists the tools to grow their audience.


Can I see who tipped me?

Yes! Unless a supporter uses a generic username, you’ll always see who’s backing you.


Can I message my supporters?

Yes! Send thank-you messages or exclusive updates to keep your biggest fans engaged.


How do I maximize my earnings on Tipify?

Promote your Tipify profile on social media, remind fans they can support you directly, and engage with top supporters to encourage repeat tipping.

Is Tipify available worldwide?

Currently, Tipify supports artists and fans in select countries, but we’re expanding. Sign up to be notified when Tipify launches in your region!


What streaming services does Tipify support?

Currently, Tipify integrates with Spotify, but we’re building toward supporting more platforms. If there’s one you’d love to see, let us know!


Can I use Tipify if I’m not a musician?

Yes! While Tipify is designed for music artists, future updates may expand to other creators. If you know an artist who could benefit from it, invite them to join.


Can an artist lose access to their funds?

Artists can withdraw their funds anytime. Accounts that violate Tipify’s Terms of Service—such as fraudulent activity—may be subject to review, but our priority is ensuring artists always have access to their earnings.
